This Father’s Day, we would like to acknowledge the women’s health practices of both Drs. Andrew and James Croak. Before the arrival of large, impersonal medical conglomerates, Dr. James Croak and his son Dr. Andrew Croak have maintained and grown their practice as an endearing example of high quality, innovative, yet compassionate and personalized women’s care.
The gynecologists and OBGYNs at Northwest Ohio Center for Urogynecology & Women’s Health have been a loyal and trusted constant for the women of Northwest Ohio for almost 50 combined years. And multiple generations of women from many families in the area have utilized the expertise and knowledge from both doctors to stay healthy and happy.
State-Of-The-Art Women’s Healthcare
Drs. James and Andrew were both raised in Northwest Ohio, and returned to the Toledo area to dedicate their service to helping women with their health. They have a long term connection to our community and understand the nuances and the needs of women’s health in this region. Together, they have progressively built an excellent example of what women’s health care should be by providing state-of-the-art services, including: robotic and minimally invasive surgery; telemedicine; and a holistic nurse-practitioner perspective.
This dynamic women’s healthcare practice also offers women in Northwest Ohio, the convenience of in-office procedures such as: hysteroscopy for bleeding; bladder Botox injection for urinary leakage; and MonaLisa Touch laser therapy for symptoms of menopause including incontinence, vaginal laxity and painful sex.
Unique to the practice is an entire pelvic floor therapy section that augments traditional medical and surgical therapies with life changing restorative treatments for pelvic floor disorders. It is important to note that the practice is part of an independent ACO of physicians that have saved their patients $7 million in costs just last year. Their practice provides excellent value with high-quality and lower expense for their patients.
Both doctors are true leaders and innovators in women’s health. Dr. James Croak was the first gynecologist Northwest Ohio to perform minimally invasive laparoscopy and was responsible for teaching many initial generations of gynecologist and general surgeons the art of minimally invasive surgery. He progressively was the first to hire a nurse practitioner to provide an additional caring, long-term perspective for his patients.
Dr. Andrew Croak brought with him fellowship training from Mayo Clinic and developed a large and robust robotics program that is recognized regionally as one of the most efficient – in order to take care of patients with excellent outcomes and negligible complications. He also has taught over 60 residents proper gynecologic surgery and has “paid it forward” with his teaching abilities. He is the only gynecologic surgeon in the Northwest Ohio area that has been admitted to the prestigious Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.
